about Dr. Chrysanthe (Chrys) L. Parker
Dr. Chrys Parker was the nation’s first doctoral clinician to complete triple-fellowship training and earn dual professional board certification in the fields of Illness and Medical Traumatology and Forensic Traumatology. Her quarter century of unparalleled experience in trauma aligns seamlessly with her 48 years as a licensed Texas attorney, in forming the basis for her new and highly innovative approaches to four essential issues: (l) forensic patient assessment and evaluation, (2) the authoring of forensic reports, (3) the evidentiary construction of plaintiff’s civil cases, and (4) the delivery of forensic testimony in courts of law and other medico-legal forums. She is currently involved in authoring the first foundational textbook in forensic psycho-neuro-traumatology.
Dr. Parker has served as a medical , clinical , and legal instructor in trauma to over 18,500 physicians, attorneys, mental health professionals and jurists. As the author of over 107 courses and 8 books on trauma, her skillset in the field is unmatched, as is her drive to continually expand upon her professional academic and clinical skillsets. In 2023, as a member of an international class of 120 physicians hand-picked from 18 countries, and for which only 20 American doctors were selected, Dr. Parker received her Post Doctoral Teaching Certificate in Medicine from the Harvard Medical School, which awarded her its coveted Academic Excellence Award. The Harvard Medical School recognizes Dr. Parker on its website for her work utilizing SPECT imaging in the detection of injuries which are otherwise non-imageable to MRI or CT, and which are too often erroneously presumed to be non-existent. This is one of the subjects which she will address in her conference presentation.
Dr. Parker has served as a medical and clinical professor-educator to over 18,000 physicians, surgeons, clinicians, attorneys and jurists, and has served in the clinical care of thousands of individuals in 8 hospital systems, numerous clinical venues, 32 military command centers, and at the battlefield in Iraq. Her public service in the field of trauma and oral advocacy has garnered awards and recognition from the Pentagon, the Army Chief of Staff, the Army Medical Corp, the Veterans’ Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the National Order of Barristers, and the US State Department. She continues her innovative academic pursuits today, as a Harvard post-doctoral scholar in the field of biomedical science.
Dr. Parker is considered to be the nation’s most innovative leader in the art of the science-based forensic proof of non-visible injury. Her work has led to the monetary recovery of millions of dollars in civil damages, for worthy, catastrophically injured person. We are doubly pleased that thrilled that her San Antonio based practice places her in our own back yard.
At this conference, Dr. Parker’s will give an introductory overview of her forensic approach to non visible injuries- an approach which reinvents forensic psychiatry as we know it, and instead, redefines forensic psycho-neurophysio-traumatology as an integrated multidisciplinary process in which legal and medical and legal personnel at all levels play an indispensable part, and which must become part of the accepted medical lexicon for medical and legal providers, alike.

He was invited several times to speak at the Grand Rounds of the University of Colorado Health Science Center regarding the role of Technology and Medicine in Society. He was a featured speaker at the annual meeting of the World Association of Light and Laser Therapists (WALT) in October 2021 and presented his landmark research on the use of PBMT to reverse the effects of chronic TBI in Veterans. He has appeared on national TV programs including Dr.Phil and “The Truth About Drugs” documentary with Leeza Gibbons using brain SPECT imaging to demonstrate damage that drugs cause to the brain. That show is now a teaching tool used in many high school health classes across America. Dr. Hipskind has successfully advocated for the brain-injured patient in over 150 civil proceedings by successfully defending the validity of the science underlying nuclear brain SPECT imaging.
