I was born and raised in South Florida and graduated from Florida Atlantic University. After a 14-year career as a 9th Grade English Teacher, I decided to change careers to work in Addiction and Mental Health, a choice inspired by my own journey in Recovery. I have eight years of long-term sobriety and a new fulfillment for me is doing service and working with others in my day-to-day life.
Today, I have a true passion and purpose for helping others. I am very involved in charity and in 2013 I raised several thousand dollars for Cystic Fibrosis and won Palm Beach’s Finest Women of the Year for Cystic Fibrosis. I am a founding board member for Women Empowering Empowering Women PB where to date we have several chapters and have sent four young women in Recovery to college. I have seven years of experience providing outreach and business development in the field of addiction and mental health treatment. I am a CCAR Recovery Coach and Trainer and Break Free Intervention Trained by Brad Lamm.
