Rhian Morcott, MD | Chicago Metro Area

Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist

Dr. Morcott is board certified in both Adult Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, with over twenty years of experience in the settings of academia, private practice and one of the largest behavioral health departments in the country. She also holds a fellowship in Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona and is a certified instructor in Pilates and yoga.

Dr. Rhian Morcott was born and raised in Ottawa, Canada. She was the recipient of a Canadian scholarship, to the United World College of the Atlantic in Wales, where she completed the International Baccalaureate. Dr. Morcott remained in the United Kingdom and completed her medical training at Cardiff University, School of Medicine. Dr. Morcott’s husband’s military commitment with the United States Marine Corps brought her to Charleston, South Carolina where she completed her residency in psychiatry and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry, at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Dr. Morcott takes an integrative approach to care; one that is patient centered, healing-oriented, and appreciative of the unique set of biological, psychological, social, and spiritual circumstances that contribute to an individual’s life and experiences.

She believes that growth and healing begin with the patient-physician relationship and she strives to provide the time, respect, and support necessary for her patients to safely share and explore their concerns, promoting understanding and the development of strategies to heal and stay healthy.

Dr. Morcott genuinely wants to be a part of the paradigm shift embedded in the Amen Clinic philosophy; to elevate the standard of care in the practice of psychiatry by providing a more comprehensive evaluation and multimodal treatment strategies, and ultimately to become a brain warrior championing a preventive mindset in which medically and culturally we recognize and invest in our emotional and cognitive health just as we do our physical health.

Dr. Morcott and her husband, Scott, have four adult children and have lived in the Chicago area for over 20 years. She has been involved in her community and church in different capacities, and is most passionate about faith, family, friendships, fitness, and health.
