Dr. J. Todd Holland is an Osteopathic Physician and Psychiatrist, who also has a PhD in Biophysics, and bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Recombinant Genetics. Dr. Holland has published peer-reviewed research articles on a wide variety of topics, including the development of tools to allow the real-time monitoring of neurotransmitters and their metabolites inside the brains of living organisms. He has a special interest in the understanding and treatment of addiction, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Dr. Holland has considerable experience working with veterans, as he spent two years working as a resident psychiatrist at the Salem Virginia VAMC. Prior to going to medical school, he also did extensive volunteer work helping patients with substance use disorders.
