Tom Bowen is the Eastern Regional Clinic Outreach Director for Amen Clinics. For the past seven years, he has been working as a brain health advocate along with top Integrative and Functional Medical Physicians/Providers and Daniel Amen, MD, the distinguished pioneer and brain imaging psychiatrist, and New York Times bestselling author. Tom graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with degrees in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences.  He served as a therapist, entrepreneur, and business solutions specialist with the Mental Health communities and schools for over 25 years in Florida, New York, and Georgia.  With 19 years of experience with AstraZeneca as a Senior Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist in Psychiatry, Central Nervous System, and Pain Management, he established a foundation of commitment and high achievements with a recognized Fortune 500 company in the healthcare industry.

He served in a series of roles through the expansions with AstraZeneca and was awarded the “Elite 3” in Psychiatric Pharmaceutical Sales as well as becoming a member of the Southeast Regional Director’s Council developing ethical professional communications and personal training resources for Advanced Sales Techniques.

Tom’s passion is to be a voice for those who have to face mental illness and inspire people to dynamically become involved with individuals challenged with life’s behavioral issues. Tom was honored to serve in 2012 and 2013 as a Grand Marshal for the Martin Luther King March in Atlanta, Georgia, and was the lead guitarist of a five-time Rhythm of Gospel and Gospel Choice Awards Multi-Award Winning based Christian Rock Band.  Tom and the band were also blessed to receive the 2012 Inspirational Music Humanitarian Award for the “Reach Project” and a Grammy Nomination in 2010.

He hopes to continue to be part of the reformation of integrative/functional care with paradigm shifts in clinical models to help children and adults struggling with memory cognitive issues, traumatic brain and closed head injuries, anxiety, depression, addiction recovery, trauma, grief, and developmental life issues.
