Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Teri is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has worked with Amen Clinics for over seven years. After completing his Bachelor’s degree in psychology at Chapman University, he decided to change careers and pursue a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Working for the clinic has provided an extraordinary learning environment and allowed him to pursue his licensure while benefiting from collaboration with amazing clinicians who share his passion to help others. Teri enjoys working with a wide range of clients including adolescents, young adults, families, and couples from diverse backgrounds who struggle with depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, ADHD, and mood disorders. He also provides coaching to clients who need insight, guidance, and accountability in reaching their full potential.

Teri views the therapy process as a sacred transaction and feels privileged to participate in the healing and growth of others who share with him their innermost hurts, problems, and questions about life. His approach includes an integration of cognitive behavioral (CBT), psychodynamic, mindfulness based, existential, interpersonal, and aspects of dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). He uses a whole person approach centered on the relationship between spirituality, culture, physical health, and mental well-being and works to provide a non-judgmental, safe environment.
