Adult Psychiatrist

Dr. Darlington Daniel is double board certified in General Adult Psychiatry and Consultation Liaison Psychiatry by the Royal College of Psychiatrists in the UK where he completed his residency training in Psychiatry at the South London & Maudsley NHS Trust, London. He holds the Membership and Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK. He graduated from Medical School as the best graduating student in Neuropsychiatry and was nominated for a presidential national award during his national service in Nigeria. 

His previous roles include Consultant in Psychological Medicine with preference for integrated approach to mental health care and special interest in Public Mental Health, Anxiety & Depression, health promotion in the workplace, and promotion of the health and wellness of healthcare leaders, business executives, and pastoral care leaders. He has held various leadership roles including as Director of Sports of his medical school and his university, president of a national union in his university, representative of psychiatry residency trainees, Clinical Audit Chair, Clinical Lead, and as Associate Medical Director in the Healthcare Industry in the UK. 

He has been involved in research in psychopharmacology, change management projects, service developments and reviews at the local and national levels to effect change in organizations. He was Commissioner in the National Commission that was responsible for reviewing acute mental health services in England and Northern Ireland between 2015 and 2016. 

Dr Daniel is also a pastor with Masters in Divinity from Oral Roberts University, Oklahoma with his primary concentrate being on professional counseling, a Cognitive Behavior therapist with postgraduate diploma in CBT from the University of London and the Institute of Psychiatry, London, and a Leadership and Peak Performance coach. Dr Daniel received his certification in Peak Performance coaching from the Flow Research Collective, USA and certification in Executive leadership coaching at the Hudson Institute of Coaching in California, USA. He is working towards the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) certification with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). 

His passion is in using an integrative approach to empower individuals and leaders to achieve transformative change in their lives with an optimized mindset and clearer vision for life that is fulfilling both inside and outside of work through combining his experience in spirituality, psychological approaches, and neuroscience.  

Dr Daniel is married with five children and loves music with a flair for the alto saxophone and acoustic drums, reading and writing, arts/ painting and serving in his church.
