Eric J. Rosenbaum, M.D. | New York Metro Area

Functional/Integrative Medicine MD

Dr. Rosenbaum is dedicated to helping patients achieve vibrant, lasting health through an integrative, evidence-based approach that blends the best of traditional and functional medicine. Guided by a lifelong passion for healing, learning, and service, he emphasizes the connection between body, mind, and spirit in optimizing wellness and longevity.

Dr. Rosenbaum earned his degree in Biopsychology from Yale University and completed his medical residency at Harvard Medical School. As the son, grandson, and brother of psychiatrists, his fascination with the workings of the mind runs deep – an interest that began early when he worked as a nurseโ€™s aide in the acute psychiatric ward at Cornell Westchester Hospital.

An accomplished multisport athlete, Dr. Rosenbaum has competed in lacrosse, rowing, rugby, marathons, and triathlons. Having experienced his share of athletic injuries and โ€œhead rattlings,โ€ he takes brain health seriously and now focuses on gentler pursuitsโ€”such as competitive masters rowing five days a week, daily meditation, and annual 10-day silent retreats.

He has been Board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Functional Medicine (IFM), Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), and Holistic Medicine (ABHM), Dr. Rosenbaum is also certified in Acupuncture. His areas of expertise include sports medicine, exercise medicine, stress reduction, energy medicine, longevity medicine, pain management without opioids or steroids, cardiovascular and autoimmune care, weight and hormone management, chronic infections including Lyme disease, and the preservation of brain health and vitality.

A sought-after speaker and educator, Dr. Rosenbaum has been featured in The New York Times, multiple magazines, podcasts, and on FOX, MSNBC, BBC, and CNN. His forthcoming books include a practical guide to exercise and Healthy Body – Healthy Mind, a series exploring how movement and lifestyle can prevent and manage chronic disease.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Rosenbaum enjoys life with his family of five, his rescue bulldog Jupiter, and the great outdoors – often hiking, climbing, or leading adventures with his sonโ€™s Boy Scout troop.

Fun fact: Before medical school, Dr. Rosenbaum was the lead singer of a college punk band and worked as an artist, painter, and sign maker – creative pursuits that continue to inspire his holistic approach to medicine and life.
