Ronnette Leonard, MA, LMFT | Dallas Metro Area

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Ronnette has more than 25 years of experience working in mental health. Her practice has encompassed individual coaching and therapy with children and adults, couples and family therapy, and group therapy. In her 23 years with Amen Clinics, Ronnette served several roles including Psychotherapist, Clinical Historian, Clinical Supervisor, Administrator and Director of Operations. Her leadership roles in a corporate environment provided an opportunity to apply her therapeutic skills as a coach and manager. This combination of clinical training and direct work in administration has given Ronnette the keen ability to understand workplace dynamics and work-related issues.

Ronnette left her corporate position to return to her passion: working directly with clients. Her approach is founded on her belief that we are all inherently strong, and her work focuses on helping people use their own strengths to find real solutions to problems.

Early in her career, she worked directly under Dr. Daniel Amen. She shared many patients with him and was an integral part of growing Amen Clinics. Ronnette has extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She also has training in Somatic Experiencing and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy. She enjoys working with individuals, couples and families. In addition to her 23 years at Amen Clinics, she worked as a Program Director for an inpatient psychiatric facility and was a school counselor for a private elementary school.

Ronnette has a Master’s degree in Psychology from Chapman University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State.
