Teresa Dean Cone, MD is a psychiatrist with extensive experience in outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and community mental health settings. She brings a trauma-informed approach to care shaped by years of work in complex clinical environments.
Dr. Cone earned her MD from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Cincinnati, where she served as Chief Resident in Psychiatric Emergency Services. She completed her internship at Emory University School of Medicine.
Her clinical background includes leadership roles in multiple public behavioral health systems as well as academic psychiatry at Emory University. She has worked across psychiatric emergency services, inpatient care, outpatient psychiatry, and community mental health.
Dr. Cone’s clinical interests include trauma-informed care and treatment-resistant conditions. She has advanced training in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy and Brainspotting, and continues to engage in ongoing consultation in these treatment approaches.
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Cone is a mother of two. Her daughter is pursuing a master’s degree in psychology, continuing a shared interest in mental health and healing. Dr. Cone values time with her family when not practicing medicine.
