Psychiatrist

Dr. Bradley Johnson has been a practicing physician for 20 years. He earned his bachelor’s from UC Davis in 1992, completed his residency in psychiatry through Loma Linda University in 1996, started his medical career working in urgent care and Jerry L. Pettis Veterans Hospital in Loma Linda then eventually co-founded his own psychiatry practice, Prisma Medical Group in 2002. He has been practicing at Amen Clinics since 2009. He performs evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of diverse psychiatric and neurologic conditions, and performance and interpretation of nuclear medicine SPECT scans in the diagnostic process. Before Amen Clinics, Dr. Johnson worked as the Medical Director of quality assurance assessing the neuropsychiatric status of nursing home residents, coordinating Interdisciplinary Treatment Teams for inmate case management, and evaluating, diagnosing, treating, and caring for inmates at the CA Department of Corrections in Chino, along with locums work all over California.

Dr. Johnson developed an informational cognitive intervention for former members of abusive ideological groups, a two-year research process encompassing all aspects of research design and protocol. Activities included advertising to gain enrollment, exclusion/inclusion criteria, consideration of AE & SAE, and statistical analysis of data.

Dr. Johnson has experience in the diagnosis and treatment of the following conditions: Addiction Psychiatry, Administration, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Community Psychiatry, Consultation/Liaison, Emergency Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry, Neurology, Primary Care, Psychotherapy, Research, Comprehensive educational involvement in diverse and complex neurologically and/or mentally ill patients.

He is a dedicated father, an avid swimmer (he was formerly the #1 swimmer in California age group 13-14!) and a musician – playing the drums and the base.
