Amen Clinics offers several different types of intravenous therapies depending on patient needs and conditions. These can range from immune system enhancement to detoxification and relaxation.
The Benefits of IV Therapy
One of the main benefits of intravenous treatment is that nutrients are infused directly into the bloodstream. Intravenous treatments therefore are exceptionally powerful because they circumvent issues with oral administration, including stomach upset, absorption issues, and loss of potency. In addition, since the nutrients are infused directly into the bloodstream and avoid the gastrointestinal system, very large doses can be administered without gastrointestinal side effects which can limit dosing. A perfect example of this is vitamin C, which can only be taken in fairly small amounts orally before causing stomach upset. In contrast, very large doses of vitamin C, which can be very beneficial for the immune system, can be administered safely and without stomach side effects with an intravenous delivery route.
Also known as the Myers Cocktail, the CALM IV is a well-known and highly effective IV formulation for anxiety and relaxation. Consisting of high doses of B vitamins and magnesium, along with other nutrients, the calm IV can result in immediate relaxation, lowering of blood pressure, and easing of anxiety.
The ANTIOX IV can consist of glutathione, alpha lipoic acid (ALA), or both, depending on what is best for each patient. Glutathione is one of the body’s most effective antioxidant and detoxifying substances, especially for the brain and liver. Glutathione is a naturally occurring antioxidant and dramatically improves the detoxification and rebuilding process in the body. Alpha lipoic acid is another extremely useful and powerful antioxidant that has been shown in medical studies to reverse nerve damage, and is also useful for treating liver problems including hepatitis. The combination of glutathione and alpha lipoic acid (infused separately) is an extremely powerful antioxidant and detoxification regimen.
For anyone suffering from immune disorders or anyone just needing an immune boost we offer our IMMUNE IV. This IV consists of buffered vitamin C in very high doses. High-dose intravenous vitamin C is no longer antioxidant but in fact turns into a pro-oxidant against viruses, bacteria and other pathogens.
A high dose vitamin C and multivitamin/mineral combination that is great for those who are worn down by stress or illness, or those just seeking to stay healthy and energized. The BOOST IV can be followed by the ANTIOX IV for even more antioxidant protection. Great for cold and flu season.
CLEANSE I & II
The CLEANSE I uses Calcium-EDTA to chelate out toxic heavy metals from the body including aluminum, cadmium, lead, and more. CLEANSE II uses DMPS to chelate toxic metals and is particularly good at binding to mercury, a potent neurotoxin and endocrine disruptor. These two IV’s can also be used when checking for heavy metals in the body with a “provocation” test.
Also known as Lipid Exchange Therapy, Phospholipid therapy is one of the most powerful and effective of all IV treatments. Lipids make up the majority of the cell membrane of every cell in the body. ‘Life’ literally happens on the membrane, all cellular communication occurs there. Toxins, infections, pollutants, pathogens and even aging can cause the membrane to become dysfunctional, resulting in problems in virtually all systems and organs in the body, especially the brain.
An advanced version of Phospholipid Therapy uses very pure phospholipids followed by other detoxification support products (glutathione, and a B vitamin) to help restore function to the cells that are ‘sick” and dysfunctional thus restoring health and cleansing the body.
Lipid therapy has been used for decades in a range of disorders including neurodegenerative diseases, liver damage, cardiovascular disease, and drug toxicities/overdose.
